Difficulty Levels On EnglishCentral

EnglishCentral allows students and teachers to filter our video lessons by level.  When you first register an account, you are asked to self-select your level of English.

Students can also book a GoLive! level test with our trained tutors from their MyEnglish page. Students receive a complete assessment report with their level across 5 criteria plus recommended content for study based on their level and interest.

To change your level setting, visit your profile page (or in the app select “Settings”). Select “Change Difficulty”and select your level.

Levels on EnglishCentral reflect how a student can use the language and are also set lexically, according to the student’s vocabulary level.

The 7 EnglishCentral levels correspond to all the major standardized levels in English language learning. Here’s how they correspond to the CEFR and what we expect a student to be able to do with the language.
