Sharks have been around for hundreds of millions of years yet the human population is on its course by killing them within a few years.
It is a traditional Chinese delicacy offered in banquets and ceremonies for the elite and is usually reserved for special occasions. Now, it is commonly served in major cities . Its fame has spread throughout the world and is now considered an international delicacy. The alarming problem is that consumers are largely unaware of the hundreds of millions of sharks that die each year due to shark fin soup. They die due to illegal shark fishing or illegal finning practices.
These underwater creatures kill an average of 10 humans yearly but we kill roughly a hundred million of them annually. You can only think whether these fascinating creatures play the predator or the prey.
