EnglishCentral is used in so many ways by so many educators. We’ve highlighted many of these ways here on the blog but one popular way is just as supplemental homework. English is a skill and just like soccer, painting or juggling – it takes hours of practice. EnglishCentral is a great big practice area.
Teachers often put video lessons on their class page for students to do over the holidays or for homework. However, teachers can also just make an additional class page for supplemental and unofficial curriculum. It’s easy to do.
1. Just go to your school and make a new class.
2. Call it Homework or Extra Videos or Recommended Practice
3. Give students the link to the class page of curriculum or invite them by clicking “Enroll Students” in the teacher tools.
4. Sit back and see what the students do. Give bonus points / marks to students going that extra mile to practice!
