TED Channel for learning English

TED (Technology, Education, Design) is a conference held annually that features some of the best thinkers and presenters in the world. Their videos are very popular on EnglishCentral, for advanced level speakers and now we have a TED channel.

Yes, now it is really easy to find all our TED video lessons.  Sort by your level.  Most are in a series so you can study one part and then come back and study the next later.

Get all our other wonderful channels through our Video Browse page.

Here are my quick Top 5 TED talks on EnglishCentral. (just my own preferences)

1. Ken Robinson: Schools Kill Creativity

- so intelligent but so humorous. A brilliant speech about the need to change education.

2.  Deb Roy – The Birth Of A Word

-  valuable insights into how children learn language from real children and how they first learn to speak and make “words”.

3.  Rick Smolan – A girl, A photograph, A homecoming

- you’ll never forget this true story of a photographer who adopts a S.Korean orphan.  Powerful.

4.  Daniel Pink – The Surprising Science Of Motivation

-  a classic and you’ll learn about how the small things impact human behavior

5.  Jay Walker- English Mania

-  overview of how English is everywhere in the world and a growing force bringing cultures together.
